So the Pope said a few things to upset some Muslims. He basically said that there are some Islamic Extremists who use violence and fear to spread their word. It made some Islamic Extremeists so mad they……reacted violently and threating that ‘The West is doomed’. Hmmm….. they just proved the Pope’s point didn’t they? I’ll agree that it is a small minority of Islamic’s which are responsible for the broad brush in which all Muslims seem to be painted with today but I mean there are suicide bombing everyday. It’s not too far off to call these Extremists violent is it?

The Pope surely could have used better language and better timing for his words as it seems the whole world is walking on egg shells and dancing around these subjects. Freedom of speech states the Pope can say whatever he likes. Again… it’s his thoughts and opinions. Sure he influences millions but to react violently will only strengthen the Pope’s original message regardless of how many apologies he sends out now.

Imprison Bush

May 15, 2006

Today Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez has accused George W. Bush of "committing genocide and said the U.S. president should be imprisoned by an international criminal court". The Venezuelan leader made his remarks on Monday at a joint news conference with London Mayor Ken Livingston.

Well I say it's about time someone has said something. Not that billions of people aren't saying something mind you. People talk and blog everyday about the subject. But when a Venezuelan President speaks it tends to make news. Which it did. Good for him. He mentioned a few other tidbits such as the fact that the US already has strategic plans for attacking Iran. Hey….. it's Iraq all over again. Oil, oil, oil. I wish someone would give Bush a blowjob so that he could at least be Impeached. Seems like genocide, ignorance, deception, torture, murder, extortion, incompetence, and stupidity are just not enought these days.

In her interview with Elle magazine, Paris Hilton reveals she's the most awesomest girl on the planet and so talented she makes Mozart look like horse shit.

She says:

"I’ve always had a great voice. You either have it or you don’t. It’s something you’re born with. I’m a brand, a model, an artiste, an actress, a designer. I write books."

Additionally, she says guys hit on her because she has money, adding:

"In Los Angeles, every girl is a gold-digger and I think a lot of guys come to me because they know I don’t need anything."

I haven't heard her new album yet, so for all I know she actually does make Mozart look like horse shit. But I have seen her vagina more times than I'd like, so I'm assuming guys hit on her because they know they can have sex with her and not because she has money. You might be surprised, but guaranteed sex makes for a pretty strong motivator.
In all honesty… the woman is amazing. I mean, who else is famous for being famous? Who else, when there popularity slides, releases home made sex tapes? Hmmmm… maybe a whore. Oh… and how about this little quote.

"I worked hard for all this. I tell girls that if you basically work hard all your dreams will come true."

She's left out the part about daddy being a billionaire and handing her the cash. Oh… and whoring yourself out too…. that gets you places.

Why people continue to gravitate towards her is mind boggling. Even google knows she's a whore:

It

March 31, 2006

In a world of mediocrity, conformity, and vacuous, vapid people that go to great lengths to pass themselves off as something that they quite obviously aren’t. No offense, but the majority of this planet’s population lacks what is commonly referred to as “it”, which is precisely why they shit on those that actually do have “it”. Because no matter how rich or aesthetically beautiful someone is, it is impossible to buy “it” or fake “it”. You might be able to turn heads with a pretty smile or a perfect body, but that doesn’t mean you have “it”. You might drive a fancy car and wear expensive clothes, but that doesn’t mean that you have “it” either. In fact, chances are that most of you will spend a great deal of your life trying to convince yourselves that you are something that you aren’t, that you have something that you don’t, and that people who actually do have “it” are, bizarrely, somehow worth less.

*Note: This is an American Article but I feel that it easily applies to Canada

Americans are feeling pain at the pump. According to a recent CBS News poll, 86 percent of people have been affected by higher gasoline prices “some” or “a lot.” A recent Associated Press/Ipsos poll showed that 70 percent believe that higher gasoline prices will cause financial hardship for them or their family. Yet while ordinary Americans suffer under the weight of high gasoline prices, the world’s largest energy conglomerates are enjoying record breaking profits.

According to The Washington Post, the 2004 profits for ExxonMobil, ChevronTexaco, and ConocoPhillips broke records across all industries. In fact, last year, at over $25 billion, ExxonMobil booked the highest profit of any company in any year in history. Yet, oil company memos show that they made part of these profits by constraining refining capacity to drive up prices. These record profits have not only more than doubled CEO salaries, but they have driven up political contributions, a staggering $450 million in the past six years. So, while consumers are paying at the pump, oil companies are getting billions in tax breaks and sweetheart deals from the Bush administration and their congressional allies.

Rummy

August 10, 2005

Well.. here we go again. What the hell am I talking about? Well according to Donald Rumsfeld bombs found within Iraq are from Iran. I thought Iran and Iraq were enemies. Nothing like giving your enemy weapons to kill you with eh? According to Rumsfeld

weapons recently confiscated in Iraq were "clearly, unambiguously from Iran"

I think we may have heard this before. You know… before the US invaded Iraq. So… as I stated before… here we go again. When will it all end. Mark my words… the US will start an offensive shortly. There warming up as we blog.

Well Duh?

August 5, 2005

Well it looks as if some Americans are finally waking up and realizing what the rest of the world has known for some time now. George W. Bush is a liar and a crook. Well Duh? After all he is a politician and his track record is horrible. Not just with politics either. It seems like everything he’s endevoured has been done half fast and has ultimatly failed. I don’t know if Daddy will be able to bail him out of a botched war and presidency when senior didn’t really do a great job.

From CNN:
Approval of Bush’s handling of Iraq, which had been hovering in the low- to mid-40s most of the year, dipped to 38 percent. Midwesterners and young women and men with a high school education or less were most likely to disapprove of Bush on his handling of Iraq in the past six months.

But the portion of respondents who view his confidence as arrogance has increased from 49 percent in January to 56 percent now.

“This country is a monarchy,” said Charles Nuutinen, a 62-year-old independent from Greenville, Wisconsin. “He’s turning this country into Saudi Arabia. He does what he wants. He doesn’t care what the people want.”

Six in 10 surveyed said they think the country is headed down the wrong track, despite some encouraging economic news in recent weeks.

Well good morning America and your bowl of shit and lies is on the table waiting for you. I will say this about the US Government though…. they’ve got a great propaganda department.

All this and with the new threat posted by Ayman al-Zawahri (Bin Laden’s Second in Command) what does Bush say from his month long vacation?

From the BBC:
“He’s threatening. They have come up against a nation that will defend itself,” he said.

“The Iraqis want to live in a free society. Zawahri doesn’t want them to live in a free society. And that’s the clash of ideologies: freedom versus tyranny,” he added.

We’ve heard this before no? But if it’s gonna be freedom vs. tyranny well then Mr. Bush, why so damn friendly with Saudi Arabia? They’ve got one of the worst records around. Read here on what Amnesty International has to report on the Saudi’s. Saudi Arabia is a place where you can still be arrested and executed (by beheading with a sword which usually takes a few chops) for witchcraft. Witchcraft for christ’s sake. Get with the times. Please read the above linked report for more details on this horrible country.

I could go on for days…..

I

May 27, 2005

I’m one of those people that believe that everyone should be entitled to health care and that everyone should pay into a universal healthcare system each month based on their tax bracket.

I believe that there should be a tax scale so that people who make 50,000 dollars a year don’t pay the same rate of tax as people who make 500,000 dollars a year. 250,000 dollars off of a 500,000 dollars year is still quite manageable while 25,000 dollars off of 50,000 dollars isn’t.

I am pro-choice and believe that women have the right to govern their own physical domains.

I believe that religion has no business in public schools, in government, or in the law.

I believe that a single suicide bomber is no different that 10 men in 5,000 dollar suits who sit in a board room and decide to fire a missile at a building while eating their lunch.

I believe that opportunism means that everyone benefits, not simply a few.

I believe that before a cent is spent on weaponry we should tackle more pressing threats, such as AIDS. I believe that drugs produced to help those suffering from terminal illnesses should be free, paid for by a universal health care system or provided by financially prosperous nations to those less fortunate nations.

I believe that all people should be able to read and write their own name.

I believe that even though I am a Canadian, I am first a citizen of this planet and so view all people as my countrymen.

I believe that weapons of mass destruction produced or stockpiled by any nation is not only wrong, but sets a very dangerous precedent.

I believe that all people should be afforded basic human rights, the freedom to speak their minds, and the right to not live in fear of both traditional tyranny and the sort that is much more difficult to see.

I believe that our abuse of the environment is shameful and our inability to utilize cleaner fuel options speaks to the greed of a handful.

I believe that wild animals belong in the wild. Not in labs, not in the circus, and not at The Mirage.

I believe that the language of art is the most important and truthful language that our species employs.

I believe that censorship occurs when the truth becomes dangerous.

I believe that if we produce enough food to feed every person on this earth that it is criminal to allow anyone to starve to death.

I believe in people, I believe that they can make a difference, and I believe that their common voice can serve to vanquish those petty few that would use others for their own ends.

I believe in myself and so should you.
